These terms govern sales made on starsbox.eu between Organizen (SASU, Thonon-les-Bains Trade and Companies Register 932 373 228, 2 Chemin de Thony, 74500 Evian-les-Bains, France) and any buyer, business or consumer.
Starsbox sells two distinct kinds of product, with different rules:
The images shown on the site are representative; the final look of a printed item may vary slightly depending on the paper stock.
Prices are shown in euros on the French version of the site and in US dollars on the English version. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code. For a printed item, production and shipping costs are shown before payment is confirmed and are added to the displayed price. Any import duty or local tax on a delivery outside the European Union is the buyer's responsibility.
Payment is made by card through Stripe. Organizen never has access to your card details. The order is firm once payment is confirmed.
The download link for the PDF you bought is provided immediately after payment is confirmed, on the thank-you page. Nothing is shipped for this product.
Each personalized item is produced after the order by a partner workshop: there is no stock to ship. The delivery time given at the time of the order is an estimate, not a day-exact commitment. Under articles L216-1 and following of the French Consumer Code, if the order has not been delivered within thirty days of payment, the buyer may, after giving formal notice that goes unanswered, cancel the sale and obtain a full refund within fourteen days.
For a standard physical item, a consumer has fourteen days from delivery to withdraw, without giving a reason, under article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code.
Exception — personalized items. Under article L221-28 3° of the same code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to the postcard: it is made from a photo and a text supplied by the customer, and is therefore personalized to their order.
Exception — digital content. Under article L221-28 13° of the same code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to a PDF book once its download has begun with the customer's prior express consent and their express waiver of that right.
Any PDF book that is unreadable or incomplete, and any printed item that is faulty, non-conforming or damaged in transit, is corrected or remade free of charge, on a simple report to contact@starsbox.eu within fourteen days of purchase or delivery. The legal guarantees of conformity (articles L217-3 and following of the French Consumer Code) and against hidden defects (articles 1641 and following of the French Civil Code) apply to physical items.
The postcard is composed by the customer (their photo, their text) in the online studio. You alone remain responsible for the content you choose to put on it: it must not infringe anyone's rights (a person's likeness, a trademark, a protected work) or French law (hateful, violent or pornographic content, or content involving minors). Organizen may refuse or stop an order whose content appears unlawful, without compensation.
The rest of the site (characters, texts, illustrations, visual identity, code) remains the property of Organizen and may not be reused for commercial purposes without written agreement.
All complaints go to contact@starsbox.eu. Where a dispute is not resolved, a consumer may use a consumer mediator free of charge, or the European online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
French law applies. For sales between businesses, the courts of Thonon-les-Bains have exclusive jurisdiction.
